I Think in English but Feel in Arabic is a body of work that explores the tension between the two languages I've been taught to learn in my life. Arabic is my mother tongue, and English is my second, but why does it feel like the other way around for her? These eight cement slabs portray imprinted letters that are untranslateable sounds in English and have been devastated to almost unrecognizable shapes to mirror the shame and disappointment I, at times, feel when struggling in Arabic and not in English.
