Sara Alahbabi (b. 1994) is a conceptual artist and art educator from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Alahbabi graduated from the New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and Political Science. She received an art fellowship from the Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists fellowship (SEAF) in 2017. She is also an employee at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi and working specifically in the education department; being an art educator is a big part of the artist’s life as it fuels her artistic drive as well as her passion for education. She holds an MFA degree in Art and Media (class of 2024) from NYUAD. Alahbabi previously exhibited in Warehouse421, the Project Space at NYUAD, Bayt El Memzar in Dubai, and in Germany as part of a group show organized by ADMAF in the me Collector’s Room in Berlin.
